Optimal In-store Experience: Longer Version / High Touch

When you have mess time to scan & fit your customers, this higher-touch flow works well.

The Volumental scanner can be used at any time and for any fitting purpose, whether your customer is just casually browsing or looking for a full, extensive fit experience.

This is the optimal customer journey flow for when you have more than a few minutes to scan and fit your customers. This can last anywhere between 5-25 minutes, depending on your customer and how busy your store is that day.

If the customer is a beginner or if they simply don’t know where to start when it comes to shoes, a more in depth customer journey is ideal. With these types of customers, it can be good to plan in a little more time.

  • When their scan is complete, click on each scan tile to show them the different characteristics of their feet.
  • Interact with their scan and run them through all the measurements and choose some unique features of their feet to focus on. Look at this article for examples on what to say.
  • Move to the footwear tab and walk them through the shoes that will fit them best. Focus on the top 3-4 shoes that are recommended and interact with each shoe card, showing them the fit visualization and how this changes depending on what size is selected.
  • Take the time to guide them as they try on the shoes and engage as they discuss how each one fits.
  • Remind them that, ultimately, fit is a feeling and that they should choose the shoe they feel most comfortable in.

No matter how much time you put into the fitting process with your customer, it is always valuable to collect their email address as it will increase the customer’s lifetime value for your store and brand.
