Optimal In-store Experience: Shorter Version/Low Touch

When you have less time to scan & fit your customers, this lower-touch flow works well.

The scanning experience only takes a few minutes

The Volumental scanner can be used at any time and for any fitting purpose, whether your customer is just casually browsing or looking for a full, extensive fit experience. 

This is the optimal customer journey flow for when you may only have a few to 5 minutes to scan and fit your customers. This is a good customer journey when your store is very busy, but you still want to get the most value with the scanner.

  • When you greet your customers, try to get a sense of what they are looking for that day.
  • Offer to give your customers a scan, even if they are just browsing.
  • Help them understand that this is a quick experience (5 seconds for the scan, 5 seconds for analysis) that can provide them with a lot of unique insight.
  • Interact with their scan and run them through the main measurements or choose 1-2 unique features of their feet to focus on. Then move on over to the footwear tab where you can quickly show them their top 3-4 shoe recommendations.
  • If the customer is engaged and is now actively looking to purchase shoes, you can go more in depth. 

No matter how much or how little time you put into the fitting process with your customer, it is always valuable to collect their email address as it will increase the customer’s lifetime value for your store and brand.
