If the network / power port is damaged, it might need to be replaced inside the scanner. This guide will help you through the replacement.
- Turn off the scanner by unplugging the power cord. Make sure to also disconnect the ethernet cable if this is connected.
- Open the scanner base unit by following the steps in this article.
- Unplug the cables from the computer and then unscrew the four screws holding the port plate down. You can see the screws and cables marked in red in the image below.
- Place the new port in the scanner and plug in the cables to the computer. Screw the four screws back on.
Please note! The plate with the white LED ring might be in the way of connecting the new port. If this should be the case, first remove the LED ring by unscrewing the two screws attaching it. You can see them marked in purple in the image above.
- Make sure that the replacement was successful by completing step 8 here.
- Turn the scanner off by unplugging the power cable. Make sure all cables are inside the scanner. Close the scanner by following steps 1 - 6 in the guide above, in reverse order.
- Turn the scanner back on by plugging in the power cord again. If the scanner had an ethernet cable, connect this to the scanner as well.
