The most important thing you can do to keep your scanner healthy and happy is to keep it connected to the internet at all times.
Online scanners have 5 main benefits:
- The recommendations tab is directly tied to your POS (Point of Sale) system and inventory feed and will update every 15 minutes if your scanner is online. This may vary depending on your store's setup.
- Customers who enter their email addresses during the scan process will receive their 3D model and foot measurement results immediately via email.
- Your scan data can only be uploaded to Volumental Cloud if your scanner is online. Volumental Cloud is accessed by company stakeholders and managers to monitor store scan performance and view customer data.
- Your scanner will automatically receive the necessary software updates it needs to fix systems, remove any bugs, and keep itself healthy and working for you.
- When the scanner is online, the Volumental Support Team can access the scanners' systems remotely to troubleshoot or investigate any potential issues.
You will still be able to scan customers when your scanner is offline, however the recommendations tab will not populate.
