- When you get scanned, our Fit Engine takes your specific scan and looks at your feet.
- It compares your feet to the 40 million+ foot scans in our database.
- The Fit Engine identifies all of the people with similar feet as it looks at the specific shoes that these people with similar feet as the customer purchased and did not return.
- These shoes are then the recommendation!
By comparing similar scans with purchases, the Volumental Fit Engine automatically develops a collection of recommended styles and orders them by best fit. The Fit Engine assumes that shoes that people with similar feet as you bought and did not return, will probably fit you well too.
What links the purchase to the foot scan is the email address, which is why it is important that you collect email at the point of scanning and the point of sale. The more emails you collect, the smarter the Fit Engine gets!
How do I use the footwear tab in the fitting process?
After walking your customer through their 3D scan and measurements, move over to the footwear tab to discover which shoes will fit them best.
You may already have an idea of what shoe will fit them well but use this tab as a guide to discover new styles you may not have thought of! Bring the customer into the conversation and allow them to view their best fit and narrow down their preferences to find the perfect shoe.
